True Colors, Inc. is a non-profit organization that works with other social service agencies, schools, organizations, and within communities to ensure that the needs of sexual and gender minority youth are both recognized and competently met. The organization trains more than 6,000 people annually, organizes the largest LGBTQ+ youth conference in the country with more than 3,000 attendees and manages the state’s only LGBTQ+ mentoring program. www.ourtruecolors.org

THE PROCESS: Each year, True Colors has choosen a new Theme/Concept, relevant to the current social climate regarding the LGBTQ+ community and its position in society. The goal of this project has been to visually represent the Conference’s chosen theme. The entire class developed their own concepts and were encouraged to experiment with a variety of styles. After several group critiques, the concepts were ready to present to the client.
