Seeds of Kindness Competition

DESIGN BRIEF: Logo & Packaging Design
CLIENT: Johnson Memorial Hospital Auxiliary

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: In the spring of 2016, the Johnson Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, a not‐for‐profit organization, will launch a special project entitled “Seeds of Kindness”. This initiative will raise funds for the Johnson Memorial Cancer Center and its Patient Assistance Fund by growing acres of cheerful sunflowers. This crop will be harvested in the fall, processed and sold at partnering retailers as wild bird food. The JMHA is in need of artistic talent to design a logo and packaging for its two‐sided, standard bird seed bag.

Students enrolled in an Art major are being asked to help design the Seeds of Kindness logo and two‐sided packaging. Only one design will be selected and members of the Johnson Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Seeds of Kindness Committee and Committee on Philanthropy will participate in this process.  The winner of this contest will be notified in writing and awarded $500.00. In addition, the artist will be featured on the Seeds of Kindness website, through Social Media, local media and other opportunities as they present.
