DESCRIPTION: Central Design has worked with Dr Malley for a few years starting with the Campus of Compassion project. He needed to redesign a flyer to raise awareness for the Sandwich Hero’s project, which is distributed both electronically and in printed form. This started the students thinking!
PROCESS: Each student designed a series of 9 icons which were turned into buttons. From there they redesigned the flyer based on their individual designs. Central Design students and faculty created and donated the buttons to the Sandwich Hero's Project. The buttons are distributed each month to project volunteers as a fun memento.
THE CAUSE: Sandwich Hero’s meet on the 4th Wednesday of each month at the Newman Center. Groups of CCSU students, faculty and staff volunteer to make 160 sandwiches. The sandwiches are then delivered to the South Park Inn Shelter in Hartford.
